WHY DO WE EXIST?
Mid Valley Baptist Church exists is to bring glory to God...
God has created us for the purpose of glorifying Him to our utmost capacity.
…through growing love for the Lord…
The sacrificial love that we have for the Lord is the highest and purest motivation
for bringing glory, devotion, and service to God. The more we learn of His love the
more we love Him in return and the more abundantly we desire to serve Him.
…through love for our neighbors…
The love that we have for God is demonstrated in the way we treat other people.
We as a church cannot claim to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and might
if we do not love our neighbors as ourselves. Therefore it is necessary for us to
have compassion for believers and unbelievers alike. We seek to not only
profess our care for people's lives, but we also seek to demonstrate that
compassion by giving of our time and available resources to build them up
and bring them closer to Christ.
…and through faithful stewardship of the gifts He has given us.
We desire to faithfully serve Him in every capacity that He should see fit
to place us under and to be content in that service as an act of worship.
